The first ever Pilgrim Place Conference invites churches, leaders, and practitioners to explore how churches can operate as a Pilgrim Place. Join us to explore how churches can use the Pilgrim Place resources, learn from others and be inspired together.

Alongside a keynote on Pilgrimage from ArchbishopArchbishop Bishop who also presides over a group of dioceses or provinces. Stephen, the day will include:

  • A panel of different Pilgrim Places churches
  • Lunch provided in the ticket price
  • Workshops including themes such as: engaging schools in pilgrimage, creating new routes and exploring a worshipping community connected to pilgrimage.

Prayer Zooms

Join us as we pray for the renewal of faith in the north. Each Zoom involves shared storytelling and prayer led by one of our MissionMission 1. A group of people sent out to share religious faith. 2. The task of sharing faith. Enablers. They are easy to join and will last 40 minutes.

Multiply: North is for every church that longs to reach new people, in new and renewed ways, with the love of JesusJesus (Greek form of Hebrew 'Joshua' meaning 'Yahweh [God] is salvation') Also given the title Christ, meaning 'anointed one' or Messiah. His life is recorded mainly in the Four Gospels although he is also mentioned by the Jewish historian Josephus (c. 37-c.100) and the Roman historian Tacitus (c.110). Christ. Join local leaders and teams to share wisdom across traditions, contexts and models. We’ll focus on how we build teams, shape culture and develop networks, combining insights from frontline practitioners with the stories and experiences of church plants.  

Multiply: North is hosted by a new collaboration of Baptist, Anglican and ecumenical partners, united by a vision to see healthy churches planted and multiplied across the north of England.

Lord’s Prayer Tour

The Lord’s Prayer Tour

During 2025 and 2026, Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of YorkYork 1. A Roman city and early centre of Christianity. 2. Diocese and province under the leadership of the Archbishop of York. is undertaking a tour across the North of England, sharing the meaning and significance of the Lord’s Prayer.  He will speak about the ongoing relevance of the Lord’s Prayer in today’s world, encouraging everyone to live by its powerful, transformative words. This tour is part of a broader effort to renew faith and mission across the North of England. 

The tour began with a service of EvensongEvensong The medieval English name for the office of Vespers (see Divine Office). Used in the 1549 Book of Common Prayer for the service which later prayer books call Evening Prayer at York MinsterYork Minster Popular name for the cathedral and metropolitan church of St Peter in York. Seat of the Archbishop of York, the cathedral was established in 627 by St Paulinus as a baptistery for King Edwin. The present building contains elements of the Norman cathedral of Archbishop Thomas of Bayeux, but dates largely from the 13th-15th centuries. on Friday 7 March. The next evening event is at Liverpool CathedralCathedral (Latin cathedra' throne') Church which contains the throne of the bishop and hence the mother church of the diocese on Monday 5 October.
