Faith in the North’ aims to engage and connect Church and Community primary and secondary schools across the Northern Province through encouraging children and young people to explore the ChristianChristian Name originally given to disciples of Jesus by outsiders and gradually adopted by the Early Church to designate all members of the church. Coming January 2025: “The Lord’s Prayer Journey”
In January 2025 Faith in the North will release the first of its Boxsets of resources for use in schools. The “Lord’s Prayer Journey” includes a series of 7 collective worship sessions, a custom song from “Song for Schools” helping to teach the Lord’s Prayer, a poster, and more. It also includes the details of an opportunity to be part of a collective interactive moment on the 10th October 2025 joining with schools across the North to pray the Lord’s Prayer with ArchbishopArchbishop Bishop who also presides over a group of dioceses or provinces. Faith in the North will run over the next three years delivering a series of “Boxsets” of resources on the following themes:
2025: The Lord’s Prayer, helping young people explore how the Lord’s prayer can be a model for living well.
2026: Pilgrimage, developing an understanding of life as a journey of exploring faith through the ancient practice of pilgrimage.
2027: Baptism, using the 1400 year anniversary of the baptism by Bishop Paulinus of King Edwin, the first King of Northumbria to profess the Christian faith to help teach about baptism.

Our Resource Hub is a growing collection of free resources supplied ready for use in your school. Resources are accessible and adaptable for those who wish to do so. Launching in early 2025 is “Lord’s Prayer Journey” Resource pack which has a set of Collective Worship resources along with a series of creative ways your school can explore the prayer JesusJesus (Greek form of Hebrew 'Joshua' meaning 'Yahweh [God] is salvation') Also given the title Christ, meaning 'anointed one' or Messiah. His life is recorded mainly in the Four Gospels although he is also mentioned by the Jewish historian Josephus (c. 37-c.100) and the Roman historian Tacitus (c.110). taught his disciples.
