The system evolved gradually, reaching completion by the 13th century church in Beverley, gathering with local school children for storytelling workshops about the Lord’s Prayer, before the whole school gathers for an act of worship.

A Call to Prayer
At the heart of this tour is a simple yet powerful invitation: to learn the Lord’s Prayer by heart and live out its words in our daily lives. This echoes the prayer’s central plea:
“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heavenHeaven The dwelling-place of God and the angels and eventually all those who will live with God for eternity..”
During the evening event in Hull Minster, there will be an opportunity to hear a new moving choral setting of the Lord’s Prayer, composed by Lucy Walker – a beautiful way to reflect on what this prayer means to us.
